Additional Product Information
Helvellyn by Striding Edge - probably the district's most popular fellwalk.
Starting from Patterdale, the infamous long drag up across Birkhouse Moor leads of course to the "hole in the wall"... from where Striding Edge, the district's most notorious ridge walk is approached. A careful traverse of the Edge leads to the often under-rated steep pull up onto Helvellyn top @949m. Descent is made by Swirral Edge past the shores of Red Tarn to regain the Birkhouse Moor path back to Patterdale.
Featuring dramatic and unprecedented walker's-eye view footage from Striding Edge as the cameraman walks precariously along the very spine of the Edge at its narrowest point for several metres with the camera rolling.
Shot in rare clear conditions. RT 60m
