Additional Product Information

These first filmed hillwalks to Grisedale Pike, the "Matterhorn of the Lake District", are shot in perfect summer and extreme winter conditions and make use of three of the hill's connecting ridges as routes to and from our starting point of Revelin Moss CP, Whinlatter Pass.
A superb walk out west from the summit leads on over to Hopegill Head, a magnificent airy perch and fine viewpoint in its own right.
The winter climb by Sleet Fell & the steep northeast ridge ( seen on DVD cover, above ) contains dramatic footage of walkers being buffeted by high winds and spindrift as they struggle to reach the summit in almost arctic conditions.

To our knowledge the only DVD / video in existence of the climb to this shapely and popular mountain.
